Tender Description
Falls Creek Alpine Resort (FCAR) is looking for a suitable party to complete a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP) for a newly proposed gravity mountain bike trail, estimated to be ~1.8km in length. This CHMP will require, but it not limited to:
Desktop Assessment including but not limited to:
- Determination of a geographic region for search parameters.
- Environmental and ethnographic data retrieval from the relevant databases and sources.
- Aboriginal archaeological report and Aboriginal place data retrieval from the VAHR.
- Examine historic map sources and aerial imagery to identify land use history.
- A thorough review of the above information to identify landforms of Aboriginal cultural heritage potential.
- Map all recorded Aboriginal places and landforms with Aboriginal cultural heritage potential.
- Development of an Aboriginal place prediction model if needed.
- Complete a draft Desktop Assessment report.
Standard Assessment including but not limited to:
- Field survey of the Activity Area.
- Co-ordination and management of attendance of traditional owners for field review.
- Recording of surface cultural heritage material, if required.
- Recording ground surface conditions including areas of past disturbance
- Recording landforms of Aboriginal cultural heritage potential.
- Complete a draft Standard Assessment report
Assemble and submit a Draft CHMP to FCAR for review, followed by submission to the regulator.
Update the CHMP and manage withdrawal processes based on feedback from the regulator as required.
