Expressions of interest are sought for an RACP member representative to the Federal Government ADHA, National Secure Messaging Governance Committee.
Reliable, secure provider-to-provider communication is a key component of digitally enabled, integrated, and coordinated care across the Australian health sector. Secure messaging is a core foundational capability required to enable safe, seamless, secure, and confidential information sharing across all healthcare providers.
The ambition of a National Secure Messaging Network is to achieve a connected system where healthcare providers can connect to each other and share information safely and securely in support of better patient care outcomes.
The committee is comprised of professionals from health, government, business and information technology sectors.
Responsibilities:
Your role will be to provide expert physician or pediatrician perspectives on key decisions relating to the strategy and implementation of the NSMN. As an RACP representative you will have voting rights for decisions made within this forum.
This role will suit trainees and fellows who have had experience in multiple workplace contexts, e.g., public hospital, community care, private practice and also in rural, regional and remote locations. Please note in-depth information technology expertise is NOT essential as key technical decisions are governed by a separate committee.
Meetings are held via videoconference once a month for an hour.
