⁠⁠⁠Queensland Hydro is a publicly owned entity established by the Queensland Government to design, deliver, operate, and maintain long-duration pumped hydro energy storage assets that will be the cornerstone for the transformation of the state’s energy system.

Queensland Hydro are conducting a two-stage procurement process that consists of a public Expression of Interest (EOI) that will lead to a short list of capable entities being invited to provide responses to a Request for Tender (RFT). There will be no proposed agreement or contract resulting from this EOI process. The shortlisted suppliers will proceed to a select tender phase. The Expression of Interest (EOI) is being issued to engage market interest and shortlist for capable entities for the provision of an ICT Managed Service provider. The supplier shall furnish an outsourced service that emulates an in-house service, thereby affording the advantages associated with the latter, such as service agility and ready access to resources. It is expected that this will consist of a mixture of onsite and remote resources.

The Customer is seeking a supplier with a delivery approach and structure that is sufficiently flexible to ensure that the supplier can adapt quickly to the changing needs of the customer. The Customer has a current user base of between 150-200 users, but suppliers should factor in the ability to scale. Users are a mixture of customer staff and embedded contractors. There is a single head office located in Brisbane CBD on a single floor, however it is likely there is a requirement that additional regional offices require services (in regional Queensland) that will require connectivity to the Customer’s network and systems and will require remote support. On occasion the supplier’s staff may need to visit these regional offices.
