Request for Information - Notifiable Infectious Disease Managment System
Tender ID: 532465
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Department of Health is undertaking a project to deliver a new notifiable infectious disease management system (NIDMS) for Western Australia.
Numerous notifiable diseases, such as COVID-19, syphilis, measles, and meningococcal disease, require prompt public health follow-up to prevent ongoing transmission, associated morbidity and mortality, and subsequent impact on the health system. The high caseload and complexity of the COVID-19 pandemic put immense stress on dated legacy systems and emphasised the importance for public health to have access to a WAWA-specific disease surveillance and management system that includes modern tools for comprehensive case follow-up, including contact tracing and outbreak management.
The Department of Health is requesting expressions of interest to develop a better understanding of the market environment and current options available for the WA health system. This will help to inform early planning in relation to Notifiable Infectious Disease Management System and future business decision-making which may occur.
