Cancer Nurse Coordination Service Database Solution

⁠⁠⁠The Cancer Network WA (CNWA) Cancer Nurse Coordination Service (CNCS) provides a holistic service to cancer patients throughout Western Australia with service provision crossing health disciplines, multidisciplinary care and hospital sites. Core components of the Cancer Nurse Coordinator (CNC) role includes ensuring patients living with cancer benefit from expert information, support and resourcing throughout their cancer experience.

The Database Information System Cancer (DISC) was implemented in 2015 and was purposed to provide the CNC team with the ability to seamlessly communicate across multiple health care environments to facilitate enhanced coordination and reporting.  DISC is no longer fit for purpose.

Through this procurement process, NMHS (the Customer) is seeking a solution to replace DISC and  provide seamless coordination for complex cancer patients across metropolitan and rural regions of Western Australia.  

The Customer’s preference is for the solution to be hosted by the Customer on WA Health managed infrastructure and platforms on the internal Department of Health network.
