Australia Awards is DFAT’s largest value soft power asset, central to the delivery of DFAT’s strategic objectives across the Indo-Pacific, strengthening people to people links and promoting growth and stability in our region.
Australia Awards Global Support Mechanism will enhance Australia Awards delivery by providing operational, technical and analytical services to support DFAT and the broader Australia Awards network. In doing so, the Mechanism will enhance DFAT’s capacity to drive policy, partnerships and respond to the demand for evolved Australia Awards architecture.
This includes clear and contemporary policy settings; strong engagement with tertiary institutions and WOG partners; continuous engagement with students in Australia and positive academic and safe and social ‘in-Australia’ experiences resulting in on-going links between Alumni and Australia.
