Tender Description
The University of Waikato has recently completed an Electric Vehicle (EV) transition assessment and has identified a requirement to install 63 AC chargers and 1 DC charger across the Hamilton and Tauranga campuses.
What we need
As part of our transition to EV’s, the University requires a reliable charging network to support its internal fleet as well as public uptake and potential Electric Mobility as a Service (eMaaS). The network and individual chargers will be managed by university staff so will need dedicated data connections and the ability to monitor via an online platform. Dynamic and static load management is required to ensure that the existing electrical infrastructure won’t be overloaded and to provide flexibility to reduce consumption during periods with high electricity tariffs.
Chargers should be accessible to staff or students by using an RFID tag or app when not in use by the University fleet. The selected chargers are required to have an in-built meter for data trending purposes.
