Provision of Playground Hand Weeding Services

⁠⁠⁠Council invite companies to download tender documentation and submit a tender for the above mentioned Works contract.

The scope of works in this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:

To provide hand weeding services for playgrounds in the service areas as listed in Fortnightly Maintenance Program Appendix A

Services include, but are not limited to the following, and as detailed below:

The contract requires a minimum of two staff and one vehicle to undertake the following tasks.

• Manually hand weed soft fall mulch and sand pits within 117 playgrounds.
• Manually hand rake soft fall mulch where weeds have been removed and directly around play equipment where soft fall has been displaced.
• Hand weed selected playgrounds within the designated areas in Fortnightly Maintenance Program - Appendix A.
• Responsible for the disposal of weeds (includes waste disposal fees).
• Remove litter from the confines of the playground and arrange for disposal.
• Report any damage/vandalism within the play area to Playground Inspector.
• Daily reporting sent to Playground Inspector on completed tasks, Council to provide schedule and template.
• Use of herbicide is prohibited.
