ABOUT THE TENDER

The Park 10 & 12 Sports Masterplan, which was published in 2019, outlined a comprehensive strategy for the enhancement of the University of Adelaide (UoA) sporting grounds situated in Park 10 (Warnpangga/Bullrush Park) and Park 12 (Karrawirra/Red Gum) within the Adelaide parklands. The master plan adopted a staged approach with the primary objectives of upgrading amenities, ensuring safety, and establishing more inclusive facilities. The plan aimed to create state-of-the-art facilities capable of accommodating both present and future needs, aligning with the evolving demands of sports and recreation. By following this approach, the University of Adelaide aimed to achieve a full lighting design scope and staged construction project that would transform the sporting grounds into modern, functional, and adaptable spaces.

The project will primarily consist of new LED floodlights to existing infrastructure, upgrading illumination of Park 10 areas, and potentially implementing an additional lighting level to ovals and pitches in the process. Consultants should seek to reuse existing infrastructure, though following review of Graduates Oval, may need to explore the possibility of additional lighting to achieve consistent illumination. Adelaide City Council pathway/pedestrian/security lighting is not part of this scope of work and should remain unchanged.
