Tender Description
Weddin Shire Local Government Area is located in the Central West Region of NSW. The site location for the work is the Main Street of Grenfell which has been undergoing extensive upgrades over the last few years. As part of these upgrades, the former festoon lighting that zigzagged its way down the top end of Main Street was removed due to the Main St upgrade and its age.
The former festoon lighting in Main St is something that the town has been proud of and has high nostalgic value. The lights were a simple system of coloured RGB bulbs, which once turned on created a festival atmosphere. Though the look of the previous is desired a replica of this is not possible so the new installation performance is equal to the previous festoon but visually will look different.
This project will be separated into two Tenders:
First: Tender for the Design, installation, and certification of Tensile Cabling, tension from certified poles that will hold the tension and not bend or fold over time. This Tender will have two options associated with it due to the possibility that one option may not physically work.
Second: Tender for the supply, and installation of Festoon lighting and all associated software and programming of the specified Festoon lights for operation,
Tenders may wish to tender for both the first and second tender together or may choose to only supply and install one tender. It is highly recommended that Festoon suppliers and installers for the second tender contact companies capable of providing services for the first tender.
