Bus Stop Accessibility Review Proof of Concept
Tender ID: 526732
Tender Details
Tender Description
Translink provides 15,000 bus stops throughout Queensland and everyone in our community has the right to use public transport. The Transport Standards recognise that access to public transport enables people with disability, their families and their carers to fully participate in community life and also benefits many older Australians and parents with infants in prams.
The standards are legislated through the Commonwealth Government’s Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (DSAPT) which were developed to make public transport accessible. There is an opportunity for TransLink to explore the use of technology to assist with assessing bus stops against specific measurable DSAPT standards. The assessment will provide valuable information to TransLink regarding the accessibility of bus stops and help identify stops that don’t meet the specific measurable criteria.
This procurement is to identify one or more suppliers to undertaken a 3 month proof of concept with a findings report produced as the outcome.
