Tender Description
Summary
Expressions of interest are open for Geriatric Medicine RACP Supervisors to assist with reviewing Advanced Training Research Projects (ATRP).
Description
The ATRP is a training requirement that trainees must complete to be eligible for Fellowship. The marking criteria is simple and straightforward and available via the RACP website. The Research Project Guidelines are also available on the RACP website.
All new project reviewers are provided with mentorship. Being a reviewer will involve reviewing approximately 3-5 research projects per year. Alternatively, you can specify the number of projects that you prefer to review each year.
The ATC appreciates Fellows’ time and dedication to trainees hence reviewers can advise how frequently they wish to receive assessments and periods when they are unable to assist with marking.
Projects have a word limit of 5000 words and usually take 1-2 hours to completely assess. Two reviewers are assigned to review each project and are usually given 3 to 4 weeks to complete their review and marking.
Applicants should be 5 years post-Fellowship or demonstrate substantive experience in education, supervision and/or leadership roles and must have experience of supervising research projects.
Marking assessments can also earn Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
