Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Warrnambool City Council is seeking quotations for the services of a suitable contractor to undertake regular compliance audits of its essential safety measures in order to;

  • Verify that maintenance providers are maintaining appropriate records relating to essential safety measure maintenance as required by Part 12, Division 1 of the Victorian Building Regulations 2006;
  • Identify any alterations or additions to Council's Building Asset base that may result in changes to the number or type of essential safety measures to be maintained and audited; and
  • Undertake the quarterly Exit Door and Paths of Travel inspections as specified in the Essential Safety Measures Manuals of each Building and report any issues to Council through the audit report.

    • Council records indicate that there are 73 buildings containing equipment that would be deemed essential safety measures. A summary of all Municipal Buildings included in this contract is listed in Appendix A and a breakdown of essential safety measures within each building is provided in Appendix B.
