The Culturally Safe Supervision Resource Development Working Group seeks expressions of interest from members and subject matter experts are invited to express interest to join.
Description
The Culturally Safe Supervision Resource Development Working Group will support supervisors to provide culturally safe supervision to Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Māori trainees.
The working group will comprise of up to 12 Fellows, trainees, and subject matter experts. Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Māori applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
Working Group members will contribute to the development of a suite of resources targeted at specialist medical colleges’ supervisors of Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and Māori trainees to support culturally safe supervision. Resources will include case-based video scenarios, video interviews, and webinars with supplementary resources including links to relevant readings, tools, and frameworks.
The role of the Working Group will be to advise on the development of the suite of resources.
Key responsibilities of the Working Group will include:
- advising on resource scoping and development
- sharing ideas and providing feedback
- sharing relevant readings, tools, and supplementary materials
- assisting with the organisation of webinars and video interviews
- attending videoconferences to discuss progress.
It's expected that the development of the suite of resources will span approximately 12 to 18 months.
Appointed members will be eligible for CPD credits.
