Tender Description
The Western Australian Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is responsible for managing a range of emergencies, including bushfire, fire, storm, flood and cyclone, across the largest emergency management jurisdiction in Australia. As part of its responsibilities, DFES must issue timely and accurate information to affected communities before, during and after emergencies to enable those impacted to make informed decisions for their own safety. The practice of issuing warnings and information during an emergency event is known as Public Information.
DFES currently uses the Emergency WA website (emergency.wa.gov.au) and system to issue a range of public alerts and warnings. Launched in 2016, Emergency WA has become Western Australia’s most important source of fast, authoritative, and accurate information during emergencies.
