Description
This project relates to the construction of a new Urgent Care Centre, Administration Offices and Ambulance bay to be housed in the Bade Wing of Grampians Health’s Edenhope campus.
The Kowree Nursing Home (Bade Wing) was built in 1988 and has been vacant since Nov 2021. The building is still in a sound condition. The current Urgent Care Department was built and furbished in 1970 and is no longer fit for purpose.
The Bade wing is over 540 square meters in total. There will be ample space for offices and supporting spaces such as meeting and store rooms.
The current fabric and design of the building lends itself to be altered and changed to suit the needs of Grampians Health’s Edenhope campus in a cost-effective way which will continue to provide the community with this much-needed infrastructure for many years to come.
