Transport for NSW is inviting suitably experienced, qualified and accredited Contractors under the National Prequalification Scheme for road works (dated October 2022) with mandatory prequalification levels of F5 (Financial) and R3 (Roadworks) to participate in the tender process for the Minor Physical Works and Services Contract for Bridge Road Permanent Cycleway, Glebe.
To successfully participate in the tender process for this project, tenderers:
a. Must provide evidence of National Pre-qualification Scheme for Road Works (dated October 2022) with mandatory prequalification levels of F5 (Financial) and R3 (Roadworks)
b. Must attend the pre-tender meeting in person held at 09:00 am AEDT on 31st March 2023 at 71-79 Pyrmont Bridge Road, Pyrmont.
c. Must execute (to the satisfaction of TfNSW) the Confidentiality Deed Poll to receive the tender documents and must return to TfNSW via Vladimir.Khlopovskikh3@transport.nsw.gov.au no later than 28th March 2023
The purpose of the Minor Physical Works – Bridge Road Permanent Cycleway project is to convert the existing pop-up cycleway on Bridge Road/Pyrmont Bridge Road a permanent cycleway. A temporary pop-up cycleway was installed in 2020 as Bridge Road was identified as a key active transport route. The Corridor is also planned to be included in the ‘City of Sydney Council’s Cycling Strategy and Action Plan 2018-2030’ and ‘City of Sydney Council’s Sustainable Sydney 2030.
The works includes as a minimum, asphalt mill and re-sheet, construction of concrete separators to physically isolate road traffic from the cycle lanes, construction pram ramps, repair existing damaged gutter and road pavement, installation of two raised pedestrian crossing and amendments to signage and line marking delineation.
The Contractor must satisfy the National Prequalification Scheme for road works with mandatory prequalification levels of F5 (financial) and R3 (road works).
The Contractor’s general obligations include but are not limited to:
Providing a skilled team, which will work collaboratively with Transprot for NSW, Councils and key stakeholders to deliver the contract works in line with agreed documentation and program requirements.
Submit responses to the selection criteria as detailed in the Annexure CT3 in Request for Tender.
