⁠⁠⁠Summary

The Aotearoa New Zealand (AoNZ) Adult Medicine Division Education Committee (AMDEC) seeks expressions of interest for 2 vacant delegate positions.

Description

The following positions are available:

  • 1 x Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee Delegate
  • 1 x Advanced Training Committee (ATC) Delegate

  • Kaupapa o te Komiti | Purpose of the Committee

    The Aotearoa New Zealand Adult Medicine Division Education Committee (AoNZ AMDEC) oversees the implementation of College Education Policy and Strategic Direction in relation to education in the Division in Aotearoa New Zealand. The Committee:

  • oversees the accreditation for Training Settings and the Basic Training programs
  • monitors training program requirements and curricula
  • advises the CEC on education policy

  • AoNZ AMDEC acknowledges Te Tiriti ō Waitangi and the foundational principles of bicultural partnership, participation, and protection it guarantees. We therefore commit that all our policies will consider the impact on the wellbeing and mana of Māori as tangata whenua and ensure that these policies uphold the above principles

    Takohanga | Responsibilities

    The Committee have four hui-ā-ataata | Zoom meetings and one kanohi ki te kanohi | face-to-face in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington. Travel costs are covered in accordance with the RACP Travel Policy (PDF). 

    Most of the mahi will occur during scheduled hui. There is likely to be up to 2 hours of pre-reading required before kanohi ki te kanohi hui, and 1 hour prior to hui-ā-ataata | zoom. Members may be asked to respond to communication out of session.

    Paearu Mātauranga, Paearu Wheako | Knowledge and experience criteria

  • Be a RACP Fellow of mātai rata pakeke | Adult Medicine, who resides in Aotearoa NZ.
  • High level communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to build positive partnerships.
  • Computer literate with access to a computer.
  • Ability and capacity to prepare appropriately and diligently for participation in RACP activities.
