Tender Description
Transport for NSW is inviting tenders from pre-qualified contractors with Transport under the National Prequalification Scheme for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction at Roadworks Category R4 and Financial Capacity F50 to repair and reconstruct two significant failures (Slopes 94244 and 94242) on Jenolan Caves Road. The work will be delivered under a Managing Contractor contract.
Tenders are invited from construction entities only. The designer for the work is being separately procured by Transport.
Key features of the Project include:
• The road and slope are to be repaired over a 130 m long (approximately) section (Slope 94244) and 100 m long (approximately) section (Slope 94242, excluding construction access track;
• Guardrails are to be replaced with a concrete barrier;
• The preferred option for both slopes is repairs to the slopes being undertaken using a combination of reinforced soil walls (RSW) and soil nails;
• The road is to be reinstated to pre-disaster condition (i.e., no road widening to occur, no increases to design speed) and be contained wholly within the road corridor;
• Full depth asphalt pavement (details to be confirmed during concept design);
• Additional rock fall protection to be provided upslope to ensure drainage lines remain clear; and
• Repairs to local drainage are included.

The successful Tenderer will be selected through a single phase procurement process.
The RFT documents and further details related to the RFT process are available via the project data room. To gain access to the project data room, prospective Tenderers must:
• meet the R4/F50 prequalification requirement above;
• review the document titled “Data Room Interaction Rules”
AND
• complete, sign and return the Confidentiality and Disclaimer Deed Poll (including completion of the table setting out the Initial Data Room Representatives in Schedule 1 and provision of the Individual Deed Polls in Schedule 2) to the Contact Officer.
A Pre-Tender meeting will be held on 14 March at 2:00 pm via MS Teams. The meeting link will be provided to all tenderers who have registered in the project data room.
All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), Supplier Code of Conduct (NSW Code) and Industrial Relations Guidelines: Building and Construction Procurement (NSW Guidelines).
