Tender Description
This specification is for Traffic Management Services to be performed within the Frankston Municipality and surrounding boundary roads as defined in the Road Management Plan. A link to Councils Road Management Plan is available at the following site: Road Management Plan
Aim
The aim of this contract is to appoint a contractor to utilise industry best practice in supplying Traffic Management Services. The services must provide a safe work site that complies with:
a. Road Safety (Traffic Management) Regulations 2009;
b. AS 1742.3 2009 Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices Part 3; and
c. Road Management Act 2004 Worksite Safety – Traffic Management Code of Practice (The Code);
or any subsequent versions of those documents that may be published during the Contract term.
Scope
The primary purpose of the Contract is to ensure that Council’s Road Management Plan is adhered to in a safe manner and to maintain Council’s assets utilising industry best practice.
The contractor will be providing the relevant Traffic Management Services in support of Councils’ day labour teams, Council Contractors and Council organised Public Events.
The Contract is a Rates-based Contract to be performed across 752 kilometres of road reserves and other associated Council operational areas.
