Whanganui District Council (WDC) is journeying on a te ao Maori values-based approach with hapu/iwi/community, which will see the organisation transitioning from the past more prescriptive type of approach for engagement.
As part of this journey, WDC seeks a suitably qualified consultant to assist with embedding an approach of active partnership between WDC and hapu/iwi by reviewing the existing Leading Edge Strategy, followed by facilitating consultation with the wider community.
As well as facilitating, WDC requires the consultant to work with officers to deliver and draft a refreshed community strategy that it is a current reflection of the Whanganui community at large.
The renewed strategy will set a long-term vision and guide priorities and planning over the next 10 years.
