Warrnambool City Council (Council) is seeking quotations for the provision of a road condition assessment of Council’s road network, including a Skid Resistance Testing assessment of Council’s Main Airport Runway.
Warrnambool City Council’s Asset Management Plan identifies a 3 – 4 year cycle for undertaking a comprehensive Road Condition Assessment. This inspection was last completed in early 2019, and it is now due for another round of inspections.
The aim of this project is to improve Council’s management of its entire road network, by providing accurate information regarding the condition of road surface, pavement and kerb and channel assets to inform capital renewal projects and minimize risks.
Skid resistance testing on the Main Airport Runway will provide accurate information regarding the ride safety of the Airport Runway Surface.
Asset information relevant to this project is mapped in MapInfo tables containing a unique id that relates to the Conquest Asset Database. Kerbs are polylines, surfaces and parent segments are polygons.
As Warrnambool City is largely urban, Roads are segmented from intersection to intersection with the intersection itself as an individual segment.
