Melton Town Centre Winter Arts & Culture Event 2023 - Producer Expression of Interest

⁠⁠⁠Melton City Council would like to invite an experienced Arts Event Producer to project manage temporary Art Installations as part of the Melton Town Centre Winter Arts & Culture Event in 2023. The role will be overseen by the Event Project Manager and will be supported by the Melton Arts and Events team.

About the event
A winter arts & culture event that will feature an eclectic mix of performance, music, and visual arts. This free after-dark arts festival celebrates the best that local and non-local creatives have to offer, encouraging patronage to the Melton Town Centre precinct.

Local businesses and community groups will be engaged and encouraged to participate in the event.

Council is looking to engage an experienced professional Producer, who will in turn engage several visual artists to produce a fit for purpose offering to activate several key locations throughout the town centre, encouraging patrons to explore the entire precinct. Key activation locations will be selected from Wallace Square, Melton Amphitheatre, Bakery Square and along High Street shopping precinct.

Arts activations will reflect local stories and themes, and include community consultation where necessary, providing opportunities to enhance community wellbeing through social connections and new creative collaborations formed as part of this project. Local and visiting artists will provide live activations and/or public programs as part of their delivery, encouraging established arts audiences into Melton Town Centre, and providing new opportunities for community participation.

This event aims to evolve Melton Town Centre’s offer as a local destination through a curated arts and culture event to provide an economic uplift and add value to the area.

Your EOI must include:

• details of your relevant skills and experience, addressing the selection criteria
• hourly rates for any additional work that may be requested to be undertaken outside the scope of this initial brief
