Tender Description
The AFPHM Faculty Training Committee (FTC) seeks expressions of interest from NSW AFPHM Fellows to join as Regional Education Coordinators.
The FTC oversees Advanced Training in Public Health Medicine and its key responsibilities are to:
- assess eligibility and commencement of training
- monitor and assess the progress of individual trainees in Public Health Medicine
- assess recognition of prior learning (RPL)
- monitor and review training program requirements and curricula in Public Health Medicine in consultation with relevant stakeholders and recommend changes to the Faculty Education Committee
- oversee and review the training program at a regional level in consultation with stakeholders recommending changes, as appropriate
- modify training requirements for individual trainees, as appropriate, in accordance with College policies and procedures
- advise on recruitment, support and development for trainees.
The Committee usually holds 2 face-to-face meetings in Sydney and up to 2 video conferences a year. Due to COVID-19, all meetings are currently held via video conference.
Members are appointed for an initial 2-year term, with the option to renew for 2 more terms.
