Council (the Principal) is seeking a suitably qualified operator to manage the tennis facility situated at 369E Bexley Road, Bexley known as the Bexley Tennis Courts.
The tennis facility comprises 4 tennis courts, tennis player huts and an office/proshop. The facility is currently the subject of a works package that Council are undertaking to restore the site. The operator, however, will be required to undertake further works, which from part of the responses to this tender.
The Council works include:
Re-surfacing the 4 existing courts.
Replacing the existing fencing.
Upgrading the court lighting.
Replacing the roof and external doors and windows of the office/proshop.
The successful operator will be required to seek any required approvals and undertake works such as, fitting out the proshop/office, refurbishing the player huts and repainting the proshop/office.
Council wants to see the tennis facilities re-activated and positively used by the community. Therefore, the successful operator will be required to maximise the utilisation and the diversity of the tennis offering through offering programs and casual play. The Site must service the local community and attract new participation through quality programming, community and school partnerships and casual court usage. Whilst the predominant use is tennis, the court surfaces will contain markings that may allow multi sports.
