THE PROVISION OF MAINTENANCE, TESTING AND MINOR CONSTRUCTION WORKS OF CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEMS

Yarra Valley Water ( YVW) is seeking to enter into a contractual agreement with a Cathodic Protection services provider for YVW's Cathodic Protection Program.  The main purpose of this program is to minimise corrosion of water storage tanks and metal pipelines. By protecting these assets against corrosion, YVW can extend the life of its assets to prevent against early failure and subsequent replacement of the asset.

This tender is for the maintenance, testing and minor construction works associated with:

Sacrificial Anode Systems

Impressed Current Cathodic Protection Systems

Safety Earth Beds

Yarra Valley Water works as required by the Victorian Electrolysis Committee

The objectives of this contract are to ensure that:

YVW meets legislative requirements relating to Cathodic Protection;

YVW’s metallic assets are sufficiently protected from corrosion to increase their operational life;

YVW’s existing Cathodic Protection assets are maintained to meet operational and safety requirements.

The Tenderer must Tender for all components of the Services specified.

From the Tendering Process, YVW proposes to appoint a Contractor for an initial contract term of 3 years with an option for two contract extensions of up to 2 years each (2x 2 years).
