Tender Description
The contract requires upgrade of unsealed roads by competent licensed operators (the Plant Hire Contractor).
The scope of works typically comprises:
- Reconstruct road formation,
- Gravel sheeting,
- Grading,
- Reshape / form table drains and offshoot drains,
reconstruction of floodways including, cement stabilised, unsealed and rock protection as required,
- Source gravel from borrow pits including clearing, topsoil stripping, removal of overburden, pushing up and stockpiling gravel and associated rehabilitation,
- Construction and maintenance of turkey's nests associated with contractor sourced water points , and
- Various works to obtain water from water bores, natural sources and any other source for road construction purposes
