Tender Description
Colac Otway Shire (COS) requires the services of a contractor to prepare a Land Capability Assessment for the Deans Creek (Colac) Growth Area. The assessment will provide technical information to inform and assist COS to prepare a Precinct Structure Plan (PSP) for the area.
The purpose of the assessment is to assess potential impacts on the future development of the Deans Creek PSP in relation to existing environmental conditions, including:
- Areas of potential sodic/dispersive soils
- Potential geotechnical and hydrological variables
- Potentially contaminated land
- Existence of uses with adverse amenity potential
An additional future component of the work is associated with a Planning Scheme Amendment, and which may require the consultant to respond to submissions and attend an Independent Planning Panel as an expert witness.
