Tender Description
The Council is seeking responses to this Request for Tender (RFT) 2122-007 for the provision of Kerbside bins contamination auditing and inspection (Bin Blitz).
The purpose of this contract is to provide support for a residential kerbside bin contamination auditing and inspection program which will raise resident’s awareness about incorrect items in their bins; reduce contamination in loads delivered to facilities for sorting and processing; and support Victoria’s circular economy.
Council is seeking a suitably qualified provider to support the following activities:
• An in-truck, Shire-wide or area based initial audit of the incidence of contamination in recycling or FOGO bins.
• Follow up inspections (up to three follow-up inspections) of bins found to contain contamination and provision of educational material about the contamination present in the bins
The Council is seeking to appoint a single provider to deliver the Services.
The intent is that the contamination auditing and inspection program will be designed in consultation with the successful tenderer based on Council’s annual budget. It is expected that the initial contamination auditing and inspection program will focus primarily on kerbside recycling. Council reserves the right to include
The initial term of the new contract arrangement is for a duration of three (3) years.
Council may at its discretion, extend the operation of the Contract beyond the Initial Contract Term for up to two (2) x one (1) year option terms.
The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed five (5) years.
