Tender Description
This Contract essentially consists of two components as follows:
A. Design proofs, manufacture and supply of street blades and posts
B. Replacement of street blades and poles in Mosman.
The scope of the works includes but is not limited to:
A. Manufacture and Supply of Street Name Blades and Posts
- Prepare design proof for three (3) typical sample Street Name Blades and manufacture three (3) prototype sample Street Name Blades accordingly for colour matching, testing of material and final appearance
- Prepare design proofs of each Street Name Blade in accordance with Council specifications
- Supply and delivery of the Street Name Blade (Approximately 560 Street Name Blades of varying lengths over a 3 year period).
- Supply and delivery of posts 75mm x 75mm (min. 2mm thick) square galvanised hollow post (Approximately 380 posts over a 3 year period) to Council Depot.
B. Replacement of Street Blades and Posts
- Preparation and implementation of a Construction Site Management Plan
- Removal of existing street sign poles and blades and recycling of materials
- Foundation works for new installations and surface restoration with soil, brick paving and concrete as applicable
- Installation of posts* 75mm x 75mm (min. 2mm thick) square galvanised hollow post (Approximately 380 posts)
- Installation of the new street blade* (Approximately 560 Street Name Blades of varying lengths)
*Street Name Blades and Posts to be collected from Council depot
The Works are expected to be completed during a 3 year period. Council expects that approximately 125 posts and 175 street blades will be replaced each year for the duration of the contract.
Tenderers have the option to respond to either component (A) or (B) or for both.
