Tender Description
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are invited from contractors wishing to be pre-registered to tender on the proposed contract for the construction of an upgrade of the Springsure Aquatic Centre. Springsure is a small rural town located in the Central Highlands, QLD 4722.
The existing facility has an aging 25m pool and a small toddler pool, both of which will be demolished and replaced in the upgrade. The existing kiosk and change rooms are to remain, however the plant building will be demolished and replaced.
The site is impacted by substantial stormwater runoff from a portion of the township and will require installation of drainage structures to manage the impact.
The scope of work for this upgrade under the proposed contract includes the following:
• replacement of the existing 25m pool, with eight (8) lane 25m competition pool
• partially enclosed program pool (17m long x 5m wide)
• waterplay area
• plant building including storage area
• water treatment; pumps; control system and pool heating
• shade structures over a section of 25m pool; waterplay area; and seating areas
• seating incorporated in retaining wall structure
• stormwater drainage structures
• lighting of pools and surrounds
• landscaping of the site
• supply and installation (where necessary) of ancillary pool equipment.
