Tender Description

⁠⁠⁠Stretching from Palm Beach to Manly, the Northern Beaches boasts more than half of all the beaches in Sydney and a population of more than 266,000. The Council is committed to maintaining a high level of customer service to the local community. Northern Beaches Council is working closely with the community to build strategies that enhance our quality of life, promote sustainable development and protect our environment.

SERVICE REQUIRED:
Council invites tender submissions from suitably qualified and experienced food and beverage operators (the Tenderer) who are interested in obtaining a lease to fit out and operate the Cafe/Restaurant.

Overview of the Cafe:
The cafe/restaurant is located within the Winnererremy Bay Reserve adjacent the Flying Fox playground and a very popular spot within the community.
The total leased area is approx. 479sqm approx, plus 5 allocated car spaces for staff parking. The successful tenderer will be required to undertake at its own cost a full fitout of the premises.
Purpose of the Cafe:
The cafe/restaurant will be leased directly by Council. It can be used to serve a variety of food and beverages to cater to patrons from the general public and community, as well as the adjacent Flying Fox playground.
The lease term will be five (5) years with a five (5) year option at the tenant's discretion.

The evaluation criteria for this tender are:
Evaluation of the tender submissions will be assessed by a panel from Northern Beaches Council using the information requested in the Schedules of this RFT.

ONLINE BRIEFING MEETING & SITE INSPECTION:
An online Teams meeting briefing will be held on Wednesday, 21 September 2022 at 3pm (AEST).
A site inspection will be held on Wednesday, 28 September 2022 at 4pm (AEST).

Tenderers should ensure they review the tender documents, including the Lease, Licence, Lessor's Disclosure Statement and Fitout Guide and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing. (See Part A5 of RFT Conditions of Tender for details).

CLOSING DATE AND TIME:
Tender submissions close at 2pm on Thursday, 20 October 2022 and must be fully received by this time.

LODGEMENT:
Submissions should be lodged in the electronic tender box or in the physical tender box at Northern Beaches Council, Civic Centre, 725 Pittwater Road, Dee Why, NSW 2099 by the time and date nominated. Late submissions may not be accepted.
