Airconditioning upgrade at Childcare Centre Building 711
Charles Sturt University (CSU) is proposing to replace the existing evaporative cooling system to a refrigerated cooling system at the Childcare Centre building (building number 711) located at Albury-Wodonga campus as outlined below and in the detailed design documentation provided.
The current evaporative cooling system and floor heating systems are nearing "end of life" and do not necessarily provide suitable conditioning required for the childcare activities taking place in the Centre.
The upgraded system will provide both cooling and heating functions.
The existing building has refrigerated cooling to some areas of the building, in particular administration and office spaces, that will be retained as outlined in the detailed design documentation.
It is noted that the eastern portion of the building is occupied by a third party (Aspire Support Services) and that the upgrade works include these spaces.
The centre will continue to operate during the construction works.
The planned scope of works includes internal alterations to provide secure social and recreation spaces inside and outside the building with kitchen, AV facilities and new amenities.
