Tender Description
Introduction
The City of Sydney ("the City") invites Requests for Tender for the carrying out of design, supply, installation and commissioning HVAC units and domestic hot water systems for the East Sydney Community Centre in accordance with this request.
Background
East Sydney Community Centre, formerly known as Heffron Hall, is an award-winning facility used as an accessible community and arts centre. The ground level is a hireable community space and the upper level is occupied by a not-for profit arts organisation. The building is currently naturally ventilated and is currently served by multiple solar panels on the roof, forming a 10kW solar array.
The building has a gas connection, supplying gas domestic hot water units and space heating. Hot water supplies water to the kitchens and showers and multiple portable gas heaters provide heating on ground floor and upper level.
There are frequent complaints on thermal comfort during peak summer and winter periods which has reduced the space usage. There are temporary portable units installed in the upper level to provide supplementary thermal comfort in summer.
Project Overview
1. Eliminate 100% of the site's natural gas use including:
a. Domestic hot water
b. Remove portable gas heaters.
2. Install new HVAC and associated electrical system to serve both levels.

A site visit has been scheduled for this Request for Tender. Please refer to section 2.3, Standard Conditions of Request for Tender.
Tenderers must submit their response in the manner required by this document.
