Tender Description
Replacing the curved Sports Hall Roof over Alpine Central, a 6-story building constructed in 1996.
Alpine Central has two main areas:
- The Sports Hall – which is a large full height space including a climbing wall, trampolines a climbing ai-bag, a multi-use sports hall, public toilets and storage.
- Office building – A 6-story building containing office-type facilities and a gym and museum on the ground floor.
Unfortunately, the roof over the sports hall section has leaked for several years damaging the multi-use sports hall surface and the insulation lining. Attempts to fix the leaks have not been successful, and the decision has now been made to replace the roof. The roof was designed and built in two sections with a mid-overlap join.
Requirements
Works can start as early as 10 October 2022. Works must complete before the end-2022.
The project involves:
- Replace like for like Roofing: Approx. 35m x 38m =1,330sm
- Remove and dispose of the existing: roof, flashings and trims, insulation, and wire mesh.
- Install new: wire mesh, anticon insulation and roof sheeting, all flashings, and trims.
- Remove and replace the roofing on the upper A- frame.
- Remove and reinstall the Ice Breaker beam at the lower end.
- Include all transportation, material supply and safety requirements.
Bidders Briefing
A Bidders Briefing will be held on Thursday, 18 August 2022 at 11:00 am, meeting at Walkers Car Park.
Registration for this is due by 4.00 pm Wednesday, 17 August 2022, and must include car registration to enable the allocation of a resort entry permit.
