Tender Description
Council has budgeted $330,000 for the design and installation of tree/catenary lighting along Argyle Street Picton between Stonequarry Creek and the Menangle Street intersection.
The scope involves, but is not limited to:
*The first stage, if not all of the project works, are to be jointly funded by both Federal and Council funding, totalling $330,000.
* Provide options or alternatives and a breakdown of costs (Tender Part E, Schedule of Pricing) allowing for (if required) a staged approach to the lighting project. Options to include;
* 'Fairy' lighting to 8 x London Plane trees along Argyle Street, between Stonequarry Creek and Menangle Street,
*Catenary lighting between Stonequarry Creek and Menangle Street,
*Catenary lighting from Stonequarry Creek to Walton Lane.
* Detailed design of how each of the abovementioned options are to be achieved.
* Obtain required approvals from Endeavour Energy for access to relevant network connection points / power supply.
* Provide underground electrical connection / supply.
* Undertake any necessary Civil works resulting from connection to power supply, concrete pavement cutting and reinstatement etc.
*Prune trees, if and as required, to support lighting infrastructure.
* Provide earliest commencement date and duration of project for each option.
* The initial and minimal outcome of the project is to deliver new tree lighting along the main street of the Picton township between Stonequarry Creek and Menangle Street / Argyle Street intersection.
Council (the Principal) is seeking Tenders from appropriately experienced contractors to carry out this project. The resulting contract will be a Lump Sum Contract.
