Tender Description
The City of Melbourne is seeking Expressions of Interest from organisations with a proven ability to construct the Works.
Princes Bridge Stone Repair & Conservation Works involve stone repair, conservation and replacement, industrial painting, artisan painting, electrical re-wiring and plumbing works.
The project includes the following elements, but not limited to:
- Remove and treat all organic growth and vegetation.
- Remove excretions and deposits of calcite and the like.
- Reset whole blocks were out of alignment.
- Stone conservation works including, plastic/mortar repair, indent repair, block replacement, consolidation processes, refacing and repointing.
- Repair and repainting of iron work
- Industrial coatings to the steelwork
- Artisan painting of the crests, bridge spandrels and lighting pedestals
- Removal and rationalisation of electrical services in surface mounted MIMS cabling.
- Water proofing of the refuges.
- Replacement of copper downpipes.
- Undertake all works in compliance with the Heritage Victoria permit.
