Indigo Shire Council are seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to rehabilitate the heritage granite drain along Camp Street between Wood Street and the driveway of 58 Camp Street.
Three adjacent poplar trees have caused blowout to the heritage granite drain causing the drain to lose its shape in this section. This has been further compounded by road surface water washing from the road through the shoulder into the drainage channel. All rehabilitation works must minimalise any impact to the adjacent trees.
Rehabilitation works will include; clearing vegetation within granite drain, lifting and relaying heritage granite drainage to reestablish channel profile, modifications to the existing culvert headwall, installing a new formal cut off drain, shaping road shoulder for future resealing works and reestablishing the grass mound between trees.
