The Happy Valley Sports Complex project scope is to provide four new unisex and umpires changerooms plus modification to the existing car parking area.
The City of Onkaparinga owns the existing Happy Valley Sports Park club facility which is leased to the sporting club to operate valued community sport and social activities.
Happy Valley Sports Park has changerooms that require renovations and upgrade to meet changing user requirements. Council is seeking to refurbish and extend the facilities in response to an increase participation in sport, modern sporting facility guidelines and our commitment to improve equitability and disabled access to our highly utilised community assets.
This is a single storey facility that is utilised by several clubs including football, cricket, softball and netball.
The works include the extension of current building to enable the existing changerooms, amenities and umpire facilities to be expanded to meet the requirements of the sporting clubs in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
The project involves the construction of four new unisex amenity areas, larger umpire change facilities, new and expanded changerooms, storage areas, medical room, gymnasium and external works.
