ROI - HAMR Energy MTJ Facility - Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), FEED and EPC Services - Project Shearwater making SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) in Adelaide

HAMR Energy Pty Ltd is inviting registrations of interest (RoI) for Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services for the HAMR Energy MTJ Facility, known as Project Shearwater, a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project proposed for Adelaide.

About

HAMR Energy is an Australian renewable fuels company developing low-carbon methanol, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), and renewable diesel projects to decarbonise hard-to-abate sectors including aviation, shipping, and heavy industry. HAMR Energy is progressing development of its proposed SAF Energy Park in Adelaide (the Project). Concept designs of the facility have been completed and early pre-Front End Engineering Design (FEED) work has commenced.

HAMR Energy's proposed biomass to Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project is based on innovative Methanol to Jet (MTJ) technology, utilising residual biomass from sustainable forestry.

Purpose

Procurement activities for the primary elements of the Project are commencing with this request for registration of interest. Responses will allow HAMR Energy to identify suitable partners to participate in future procurement stages.

Scope

The successful contractor appointed at the conclusion of the procurement process will be responsible for the following scope of work:

• Completion of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) studies for the MTJ facility, to be completed in collaboration with equipment vendors, under a dual Early Contractor Involvement (dECI) model
• Commercial negotiations with equipment vendors to develop a joint venture or consortium arrangement that will deliver a "turnkey" Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) package, including a security package and performance warranties customary for a non-recourse finance funding model
• Detailed design of the facility
• Fabrication, erection and construction of the MTJ facility
• Commissioning and handover of the completed facility
