Goulburn Murray Trades Skills Centre - Stage 2

⁠⁠⁠Project Description

Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE (GOTAFE) are conducting an Advanced Tender Notice (ATN) to engage a suitably qualified construction company to complete Stage 2 of the Goulburn Murray Trades Skills Centre.

Following the closure of the ATN, GOTAFE will undertake a Selective Request for Tender. Tenderers must be prequalified between the value of $5M - $15M on the Department of Treasury and Finance’s Construction Supplier Register (CSR) for New Commercial Construction and Commercial Refurbishment category.

Adhering to the funding agreement with the Victorian State Government GOTAFE has appointed an external project manager to oversee the delivery of the works and fulfill the role of Superintendent.

Location

Stage 2 of the Trades Skills Centre is located at 290-300 Archer Street, Seymour adjoining the existing stage 1 building and local council sports field.

Scope

The works include a double story extension to the current Archer Street building and provision of new connecting facilities for Plumbing and Electrical Trades totaling 2,748m2.

The work is comprised but not limited to:

• Theory and practical work areas.
• Plumbing & Electrical workshop and welding bays complete with fume extraction.
• 2 story internal plumbing stack and sand pit.
• 2 external sand pits and undercover workspaces.
• Electrical workshop and associated work bays.
• Plumbing mechanical and gas room.
• Staff workspaces and amenities.

Works will also include the re-establishment of an existing car park site (please refer to specification documents section for preliminary design plans).

Contract

The contract will be completed under AS2124-1992 General Conditions of Contract, amended by Department of Treasury and Finance for Victorian Public Sector Projects.

Tender

The Tender will be a select request for tender which will open on the 1 August 2022 and close on 26 August 2022 (4 weeks).
