The 2022-2023 investment approach underpins a long-term strategy to support the sustainability of general practice and aged care across our region, while addressing the needs of priority populations.
This tedner focuses on two of the four Activites within the General Practice Investment Strategy 2022-23.
These are:
Activity 1: Sustainable Rural Primary Care – helping to address a workforce gap in general practice with a focus on improving health outcomes of a particular population group, through early intervention, care planning and access to a multidisciplinary team, and
Activity 4: Improving Cancer Screening Rates -The State Government is funding general practices, health services and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations to focus on improving cancer screening rates in under-screened populations who have delayed screening due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
