Tender Description
Hobsons Bay City Council (Council) is conducting an open tender for the Landscape and Open Space works to W.L.J. Crofts Reserve. These works are part of the W.L.J. Crofts Improvement Plan is the final stage of works outlined in the plan. The other elements in the improvement plan includes the two new northern sportsgrounds, cricket nets and the sporting pavilion which is currently under construction.
The Landscape and Open Space works comprise of the following:
- A new playspace
- A new path network to promote circulation around the reserve and connection to the nearby Hosken Reserve
- New complementary landscaping around the reserve and the new car parks
- Earthworks around the two new northern sportsgrounds
Tenderers must comply with the following mandatory criteria:
- Public Liability Insurance minimum $20 million
- Compliance and acceptance of Conditions of Contract
- OH&S Policy and Procedures
- Compliance with specification
- OTHER – at least 3 past similar projects
- COVID-19 Continuity Plan (provisional)
Tenderers will be assessed against the following assessable criteria:

- Experience - Past Performance - List contracts undertaken within the past 3 years
- Experience - Technical Skills - Professional and technical experience of personnel
- Project Methodology – approach to deliver project and timeline that meets the key milestones of the project
