Tender Description
Rio Tinto requires an engineering consultant to assist in rail systems safety work associated for battery electric locomotives. Suppliers will need to demonstrate experience in previous consultancies in the rail sector and specifically with heavy haul locomotives.
1. Safety Assurance Management Plan execution to support the Battery Electric Locomotive Proof of Concept
2. Interface to the Rail Regulator ONRSR to obtain accreditation to operate Battery Electric Locomotive as a Proof of Concept
3. System Safety input into the Order of Magnitude Study for Rail Electrification
4. Optional Scope to provide delivery management support for the Decarbonisation Program
