The Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour (FFBH), in the Perth metropolitan region, is one of the largest small craft boat harbours in Western Australia. The harbour is a significant employment hub contributing to the State’s economy through commercial activity supporting the maritime industry and tourism that delivers direct employment opportunities.
DoT is responsible for providing and maintaining electrical infrastructure located within its area of management at the FFBH. The electrical infrastructure has been identified as a critical asset of the Department, with FFBH being a high-visitation tourist location, attracting millions of visitors each year. Power is provided to all DoT assets, buildings, boat pens, jetties, wharves, public areas, car parks, and commercial, maritime industry and recreational boating tenancies such as Fremantle Boat Lifters, Baileys Fuel Depot, Royal Perth Yacht Club, Fisherman’s Co-Op, Be. Apartments, Little Creatures, Kailis Fish Market and Cicerello’s located within the harbour.
The high voltage and associated low voltage electrical infrastructure at FFBH requires replacement and upgrade.
This Request for Expressions of Interest is the first stage of a multi-stage process, that aims to select a design and construct (D&C) contractor to undertake completion of detailed design and installation of the electrical upgrade works for the Department at the Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour (Northern precinct).
