Business Intelligence (BI) Developer

⁠⁠⁠The Australian Research Council (ARC) provides advice to the Australian Government on research funding and policy and, through its administration of the National Competitive Grants Programme (NCGP) and Excellence in Research for Australia, promotes and funds the conduct of the highest quality research and research training for the benefit of the Australian community in all fields of science, social sciences, and humanities (except clinical medicine and dentistry).

The ARC requires the services of an experienced Database Developer, utilising their experience in the data warehousing (DW) and business intelligence (BI) spaces to assist in the design, implementation, and support of the ARC’s BI capabilities.

The successful applicant will work within a small delivery team in providing BI services as well as in supporting the development and support of new BI and database tier services.

They will engage with stakeholders and other members of the delivery team to develop against backlog items using an adapted scrum methodology.

The successful applicant will undertake a range of duties and tasks, including:

• Contribute to the design, implementation and support of the ARC’s growing Business Intelligence capabilities including ETL, warehouse and cube design
• Collaborate with and provide advice to the ICT branch and business stakeholders in the design and implementation of new database tier services
• Contribute to the maintenance of production database tier services, including issue resolution and continuous improvement activities
• Contribute to business as usual and project planning activities
• Support application lifecycle management systems, including the maintenance of database deployment systems
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation
• Development of Power BI reports
