W4Q – Design and Construction of Collinsville Swimming Pool Upgrades

Whitsunday Regional Council (Council) has recently received funding through the latest round of State Government Works 4 Queensland (W4Q) program.
This Collinsville Swimming Pool project has been approved to be completed under this round of funding. It involves the following upgrades:
a) Pool Retiling and Expansion Joints - Remove and replace all internal tiles and repairs to expansion joints of both the large and toddler swimming pools
b) Inlet/Outlet Pipe and Concrete Surround Repairs - Repair 13 inlet/outlet pipes to the large swimming pool and removal and replacement of existing damaged concrete surround, including replacement of the all-abilities access.
c) Bulkhead:
i. draft design and For Construction Drawings to construct and install a bulkhead to convert the large swimming pool to be able to have a surveyed 25-meter competition pool; and
ii. supply and construct/install the new bulkhead.
All construction works is to take place during annual scheduled closure, dates are as follows closed from 1st May 2023 to 31st August 2023, pool reopens on the 1st September 2023.
A non-mandatory Tender Site Briefing has been arranged for 1.00pm, Wednesday 18th May 2022. The location of the meeting is Collinsville Pool, 38 Conway Street, Collinsville Qld 4804.
