In 2015 MAMA was redeveloped with an expanded Art gallery that enabled an enhanced community offering including kids' programs, art classes and workshops, rooms for hire, and a busy schedule of exhibitions in the gallery spaces. The museum launched with a new energy and vigor that reshaped the identity of the museum in the minds of the local community.
At the time the building was redeveloped, the existing passenger lift was installed. The lift is used by visitors of all ages and levels of fitness to access the gallery located on the first floor of the building, along with MAMA staff to coordinate the various elements of gallery installations. Over time, the lift has experienced recurring problems and faults, resulting in unplanned outages and consistent and ongoing safety issues.
AlburyCity Council invites suitably qualified Contractors to submit a Tender for the provision of services to refurbish the existing passenger lift at Murray Art Museum Albury (MAMA) Art Gallery and maintain servicing for 24 months afterwards.
