⁠⁠⁠Who we are: 

In late 2020, as part of Busting Congestion for Agricultural Exporters the Trade Reform and Digital Trade Initiatives divisions were established to develop and deliver the vision and strategy for agricultural exports, and to coordinate the range of the export business and digital reform programs that are currently underway. At the heart of this reform package is the modernisation of export systems by building Digital Services to Take Farmers to Markets (TFTM).

The Simplified Trade System (STS) Taskforce has been established to cut red tape and progress toward a simplified, tell-us-once digital model for government-business interactions for importers and exporters. Our continued investment and delivery for agricultural exporters strongly aligns to the Simplified Trade System reforms and will help to streamline Australia’s international trade regulations, modernise outdated ICT systems and help strengthen Australia’s economic resilience.

The Role:

The Department is building significant digital capability within the Congestion Busting Program. They seek an experienced Delivery Manager to support a Multi-Disciplinary Team working closely with the Product Manager, the wider team, and the program the Delivery Manager is expected to set the tone for success, including team cadence, scrums, rituals and common priorities in relation to the prioritisation of work. The Delivery Manager will also ensure that all products are built to an appropriate level of quality.

Key Deliverables:

• Collaborate with our TFTM teams, government agencies and the Simplified Trade System (STS) task force to identify where our program priorities, planning and governance needs may need to be adapted and iterated as we continuously strive to improve our ways of working.
• Ensures the team is motivated, collaborating and working well.
• Proactively manage dependencies and seeks to remove obstacles for the team.
• Lead collaborative planning processes to optimise value and to prioritise the work.
• Facilitates team ceremonies, like stand-up, sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Ensures the right resources are available for the team.
• Supports the team to continuously improve.
• Be accountable for the delivery of the team.
• Skills & Experience:
  
• Strong track record of delivery in complex digital transformations
• Demonstrable experience working in human-centred, agile, multi-disciplinary teams in complex environments
• Excellent planning and measurement experience and able to provide delivery confidence
• Exceptionally skilled at forming cohesive and collaborative teams
• Adept at managing dependencies, risks and proactively removing blockers
• Evidence based capability to align with dependant teams for success deliveries
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• The ability to influence with/without authority.
