Ipswich City Council (Council) covers an area of 1,090 square kilometres approximately 40km southwest of Brisbane CBD.
Council provides over 7,000 hectares of bushland and natural reserve areas to its community for recreational activities including hiking, bird watching, mountain bike riding and nature study. For the betterment of the Estates and the general public, Council has an ongoing program to undertake ecological and fuel reduction burns and installation of fuel reduction areas to reduce the combustible fuel loads to reduce the risk of uncontrolled bush fires and prevent them from extending beyond a controlled point.
Council seeks to appoint a qualified and experienced contractor to conduct required environmental due diligence assessments and reporting including Protected Flora Surveys in preparation for Council’s annual Natural Areas Fire Management Program for this financial year
